2019 Fieldtrip to Buddha-hand tree garden in Hanoi
On 13 Jan 2019, VietKoRAA BOT had had a fieldtrip to visit the study site of one previous VietKoRAA project. The project had title "(i)Demonstration and transfer of technologies on growing local pomelo varieties (Citrus Grandis) intercropping with Buddha hand trees (Citrus medica var. sarcodactylis) for improving farmer's income and livelihoods in the hilly area of Hanoi". It was carried out in Hanoi in 2015-2016 by Dr. Nguyen Khac Quynh. During the fieldtrip, BOT had visited two fields in Hien Thuan and Phuc Tho commune. The buddha-hand tree was full of fruits and harvested day by day by farmers to prepare for the Lunar New Year Holiday.
